It's 11:31 - my kids are in bed and it is quiet!

My husband is in China- he told me that the president of the company made it mandatory for the American visitors at attend a dinner in their honor. Sitting at the table with my husband and American co-worker were 12 beautiful Chinese women, all dressed in outstanding traditional ceremonial costuming. The problem, not one spoke English, and my husband does not eat fish. It is at these times that I feel just a little sorry for him. My oldest son is a a boarding school for children with non verbal learning disorder. There is a child at the school from China. I was very proud (and impressed!) that my husband knew the protocol on handed out and recieving business cards. Me, I just kept drinking scotch to get through the parent's evening!

My many upcoming posts will include work that I do as a quilt artist and my passionate work of assisting parents advocate for their special needs chilren. Please look forward to my blogs as I look forward to writing them! It is 11:41 - time for letterman.
